About AICQ Systems

Built by QAPs and operators who have done both jobs

AICQ was not designed in a boardroom. It was built by people who have run quality, compliance, and operations in cannabis: practising QAPs and operators who have reviewed the batch records, signed the releases, run the floor, and stood through Health Canada inspections, and decided small and mid-size licence holders deserve better tools.

Founder & Principal QAP

AICQ Systems Inc.

The foundation is scientific. Chi Diem Doan holds a Ph.D. in Food Science from Ghent University (Belgium) and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in food nanotechnology at the University of Saskatchewan (Canada). That training is where an instinct for data integrity, evidence, and defensible decisions comes from, and in quality work it is not academic. It is the difference between a record that holds up under inspection and one that does not.

Chi has spent nearly a decade in regulated cannabis manufacturing as a Quality Assurance Person and operator, serving as QAP and Alternate QAP at licensed producers. As founder, Chi sets the strategic direction: seeing the quality system from every angle, closing the gaps, and translating that knowledge and experience into how AICQ works, while the AICQ team grows to carry the day-to-day engagements as our client base grows.

Chi has also led from the operations side, building an extraction facility from the ground up and scaling the team past thirty people, and leading facilities through EU-GMP inspections. Across multiple Health Canada and external audits, the facilities Chi supported held zero critical findings. That is the perspective of someone who has been on the receiving end of the inspector's question many times.

AICQ was built after seeing the same thing again and again at small and mid-size licence holders: good operators trying to run a real quality system with documents scattered across drives, paper logs, and memory, and getting caught for it. Not because they were careless, but because the tools they could afford were never built for how they actually work.

AICQ is the system a QAP wants when they are the one signing off. Automated checks do the tedious cross-referencing and flag what looks wrong; the QAP stays in control and makes every decision. Every record is attributable, contemporaneous, and inspection-ready from day one.

Two ways to work together

AICQ-QA led QAP services

Bring on an AICQ QAP as your Quality Assurance Person or fractional QA Manager, named on your licence through the Health Canada amendment process. Our QAPs review your batch records and labels, sign off releases, run your deviations and CAPAs, and stand with you at inspection. The platform comes included in the engagement, so your quality system and your QAP are one accountability.

The platform on its own

Already have a QAP? Use AICQ as your eQMS. Your team runs documents, batch records, labels, deviations, and the full quality system, with automated checks surfacing discrepancies for your QAP to decide. You keep control; the binders go away.
